Ciao Family,
God has changed our plans. He has graciously called one of His daughter’s home. My mom died early Sunday evening. It is our plan to fly back to the States later this week.
So, we will not hold a physical worship service this Sunday, March 7th. We will, however, continue with our weekly Zoom session this Sunday, March 7th (assuming no travel delays). If you would like to join our online gathering at 15:00, here are the details:

We will share prayer requests, pray, worship in song, and have a short discussion on Jude 4-11. In addition to reading the passage, please listen to the sermon on Jude 7 posted on the podcast site entitled, Did God Say It? It’s the first sermon listed. In addition, please consider the following questions:
1. In reference to false teachers and apostates mentioned in verse 4, verses 5-7 give three instances of God’s judgment against those who have rebelled against Him. What do you learn about unbelief and God’s judgment from Jude verse 5 (see also I Corinthians 10:1-12, Hebrews 3:7-19)?
- In verse 6, Jude refers to God’s judgment of the angels “who did not keep their own domain.” See also Genesis 6:1-4, 2 Peter 2:4-9. What do you glean from these verses regarding the judgment of God?
- In verse 7, Jude refers to the judgment of Sodom and Gomorrah which is used over 20 times in Scripture as an illustration of God’s righteous wrath. What do you learn about God and His just judgment from Genesis 18:16-19:25?
4. Related to question 3, what does God have to say about homosexuality? See Leviticus 18:22, 20:13, Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, 1 Timothy 1:8-10. How should we as Christians relate to those who are homosexual?
5. In these last days, many who call themselves Christians either deny that hell exists, or they deny that it is eternal. What does the Bible say? See Jude verse 7, 13, Matthew 3:12, 8:12, 10:28, 13:49-50, 22:13, 24:51, 18:8-9, 26:41,46, Mark 9:42-48, Luke 3:17, 16:19-26, 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9, Revelation 20:10,15. What do you take away from the Bible’s teaching on hell?
6. Again, the men mentioned in Jude verse 8 are the false teachers and apostates referred to in verse 4. What does God say about such men in Jude verses 8-11 and 2 Peter 2:1-3, 10-16?
7. (Personal) What has God taught you in your study this week? What new insight has He given you? How will you apply it to your life?
Every blessing…Jim & Karen |
