International Church of Milan An authentic church in a changing world

Ciao Family,

God willing, we will fly into Milan this Saturday. The consensus from those on Zoom last Sunday was that we should not try to physically gather for worship this Sunday (April 4th), so we will be on Zoom again (barring any travel complications). Here are the details on how to join:

We will share prayer requests, pray, worship in song, and have a short discussion on various Scriptures related to Resurrection Sunday. If you would like to listen to the related sermon, please go the podcast site and search for “Resurrected God!” originally preached April 21, 2019. In addition, please consider the following questions:

  1. In light of all that Christians celebrate on this particular Sunday, please think deeply about, and comment on, the warning of Hebrews 2:3a?:
  2. What was Isaiah’s problem (see Isaiah 6:1-5)? How does the biblically literate Christian understand and explain Hebrews 10:31? What is our solution?
  3. Who is on the that cross in Jerusalem (See John 1:1-5,14, John 8:58, John 10:30, John 14:9)? Articulate what this truth personally means to you.
  4. Who killed Jesus Christ (See Acts 4:27, Acts 2:23, Romans 8:32, John 10:18)? What lesson(s) do you draw from these Scriptures?
  5. What do you learn about Jesus Christ from John 18:1-9?
  6. From John 18:15-18, 25-27, and Matthew 26:69-75, what’s going on with Peter? What’s Luke 22:31-34 got to do with this?
  7. Read and think deeply about John 18:28-40, John chapters 19, 20, and 21. What do glean from these texts regarding Christ, Pilate, the Jews/crowd, His crucifixion, His burial, His resurrection, His appearance to His disciples?
  8. How is Jesus Christ seen in Isaiah 53 (note all the similarities you see)?
  9. Back to John 20:11-18, why did Mary Magdalene believe Jesus had risen? What does John 10:22-27 have to do with this?

Happy Resurrection Sunday!

Every blessing,

Jim & Karen
